Nosike Agokei


B.Sc, LL.b, B.L., M.Sc, Ph.D

Dr. Nosike Agokei is a seasoned in-house counsel, boardroom expert, legal practitioner, banker, economist, Corporate Governance expert, Chartered Secretary, Arbitrator and a Chartered Accountant. He has diverse experience in banking, accounting, legal advisory and administration, covering over thirty years. His degrees include: B.Sc Economics, LL.b, B.L., M.Sc Economics and a Doctorate Degree. He is a member of the Institute of Directors and fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators of London (FCIS); the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA); Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (FCIB); and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK (FCIArb).


Dr. Agokei served in several senior management positions in several companies, including AG Leventis Nigeria Plc, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Allied Bank of Nigeria Plc and First City Monument Bank Plc (then First City Merchant Bank Group). In 1994, Dr. Agokei joined John Holt Plc where he was Group Executive Director, Legal & Corporate Communications/Development, Deputy Managing Director (Nigeria Group) and eventually became the Group Managing Director in 2009. His passion for human capacity development is expressed in his role as Seminar Director in the industry based courses of Cowrie Partners.
