COURSE DIRECTOR – DR. BANKOLE SODIPO

PROFESSOR BANKOLE SODIPO is the Senior Partner at the Law firm of G.O. Sodipo & Co. He obtained his LL.B (Hons) from University of Ife in 1985, and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1986. Prof. Sodipo hold an LL.M from the University of Lagos (1988), and a Ph.D. degree in law from the University of London (1995). He is best known as a specialist in Intellectual Property and has won several awards for his firm such as the Copyright Law Firm of the year in Nigeria, Commercial Law Firm of the year, and the IP Law Firm of the year award. He won the Commercial Law Leading lawyer 100 award, Lawyer of the year 2012-2013, and Who’s Who of professionals’ award amongst others. He is a frequent speaker locally and internationally, a Professor of Law at Babcock University, was an Adjunct Research Fellow at Queen Mary University London, a visiting guest lecturer at the Nigerian Law School, University College London and the Lagos Business School. He is a member of various professional bodies including the Nigerian Bar Association, the International Bar Association, and the International Trade Marks Association to mention a few.
